PAD06 | IMPRINTS by Hong Kong Dance Company parent

The programme is offered by Hong Kong Dance Company in support of the "New to the Theatre: School Culture Day Scheme 2025/26".

About the Programme

With the body etched in the footprints of art, and dance steps witnessing the flow of time.
The Hong Kong Dance Company presents seven representative original dance pieces to showcasing the 45 years of artistic journey in between tradition and breaking new ground.
From the poetic entanglement of Helen Lai's Reveries of the Red Chamber, the spring-like lightness in Xie Yin's Tale of Three Cities, to Yang Yuntao's diverse creations, including the tranquil Zen essence of Shan Shui, the fierce momentum of The Legend of Lanling, the scholarly elegance of After Snowfall, and the spiritual rhythms co-created with Zara Huang in A Dance of Drumming Pulses.

These dance works have won numerous accolades, including the Whispers of the Pines, which received the Contemporary Dance Award at the 13th China Dance Lotus Award (Contemporary Dance), and was selected for the China National Arts Fund 2025 Small-scale Production. Reveries of the Red Chamber swept the Hong Kong Dance Awards 2017 with honors for "Outstanding Medium Venue Production", "Outstanding Choreography", "Outstanding Set Design", and "Outstanding Sound Design". The Legend of Lanling also won the "Outstanding Lighting Design" at the Hong Kong Dance Awards 2025.

Each dance work is an artistic imprint in the river of time, recording the artistic trajectory of the Hong Kong Dance Company".
